Golf is hard......

Claire has been in a bit of a golf slump.  The spring season started out brutally.  Every tourneament has either had extreme cold, rain, winds, or all 3.  And every course she plays is difficult these days...  No excuse, but it's made for some less than desireable scores for Ms Claire.   That does not help her mental game for sure....so this weekend, Claire battled it out  at the Mississippi State College Golf Course yesterday and today on a very trying course and pulled a 4th place finish! This qualified her for the Notah Begay Regional Tourney in the summer!  Yay Claire!  Hopefully this weekend will be the turnaround Claire needs!  Lots coming up soon!!!

 

SBA Gala Time!

SBA asked me to help with the decor for the annual gala this year, and I had a blast!  Lance and Claire were out of town in Starkville on a golf tourney and college visit, so I gathered up a few amazing ladies and we had a blast!

I had such fun working with Kyle at SBA getting this gala ready!

I was worried about the different color of tableclothes, but it worked out perfectly!

Certain donor levels got custom charceutterie boards painted by SBA sadvanced art students

The room was huge to decorate but we got 300 in there comfortably!

A wine and spirits toss and it was a hit!!

I had a blast creating these orbeez centerpieces with floating pearls!

When you have a big stage to fancy up, ferns, ferns, ferns!!!

 

27 Years is in the books!!!!!

Well, Lance & I celebrated #27 yesterday with our 27th dinner at Ruths' Chris.....we are afraid to go womewhere else and jinx the tradition.  Had a great dinner, and off to Dickson, TN tomorrow for a tourney for Claire.  Happy Anniversary Lance, thanks for the most wonderful life and 27 years you've given me!!!! I Love you!!

 

A Day of Firsts!!!

Well, Claire atook her first ACT and attended her first prom yesterday!  She was a ball of stress yesterday am, but was much better by the time the prom rolled around!  She had her first salon updo and it was gorgeous!  She wnet with a group of all SBA junior friends, and they just had a blast. The Frase Family welcomed them to their farm and rented a huge party bust as ell for them!  The Prom was held at The Children's Museum of Memphis in the Carosel Room and that had the best time.  Claire chose this silk Japanese silk watercolor print dress and I think it just suited her personality so well!!!  

The florist used extra fabric from Claire's dress to make his boutinneire and he used the extra fabric for his bowtie and pocket square....

ANd at the same time all this was happening, Lance and Jesse were down in Jackson for my nephew Patrick's Wedding to Morgan.  We had to all divide and conquer last night, but it all worked out and the wedding I'm told was just perfect!!!

 

 

Happy Easter!! Celebrating Jesse turning 22 and Easter!  What a great weekend!  We hosted our parents and the Cardosi Family for a wonderful Easter Lunch!! Lots coming soon!!

Spring in Full Swing!

Claire left golf practice and showed us her 2 pieces in the art show that SBA had this wek.  She painted some weird sea animal and used prismacolors to paint a collection of bags.  Emily is about to graduate so Jesse took a few "Senior Pictures" of her on campus this week.  Things are getting real!!

Claire was inducted into to Mu Alpha Theta last week as well!  Good job Claire !
