Tons of golf...and almost wedding time!!!

Wenreturned late Wednesday after 7 days straight of golf!  Claire got into the Scotty 4 Ball in Oak Ridge Tenneessee and paired up with her East Tn golfer friend Madison for the 2 days!  They had a blast!  We then drove to Nashville for the hige 3 Day Tn Junior Championship.  It was filled with the best girls in TN, and claire did very well.  12 out of 56 I believe!  She enjoyed seeing all her TN golfer friends since many of them are headed to play college golf!

Claire and her friend Wilson did the St Louis Hole in 1 tourney right before we left for the trip....No hole in ones for Claire, but she won prizes for inside 3 ft! 

Look who just got a marriage license!  Almost time!

 

More Awards!! And a Birthday.....

Well, Claire's essay for the Daughters of the American Revolution Citizenship Contest keeps winning!She apparantly won at the state level and was supposed to go to Nashville a few weeks ago to be recognized, but was in MS for a huge tournament.  So they did a little ceremony yesterday in front of the Germantown Library.  She received a flag that was flown over the state capital in her honor, and some scholarship money! We are so proud of Claire once again!

And I had a birthday......

The grandparents showed up and sweet Aunt Nancy as well!

5 Consecutive Golf Days and 2 Tournaments!!!

This summer is starting off bittersweet.  Claire is playing in a lot of these amazing tournaments for the very last time. The Greenville, MS Future Tour Championship is her very favorite one of the year.  She did not win this year, and got 5th, but had a blast the entire 3 days!  She got to reunite with all her Mississippi golf friends from onver the past years and just had a blast!

Lots of delays on the last day.....Claire HATES slow golf....

After Greenville will traveled all night to Franklin, TN, where she played in the Junior PGA Championship...best 31 girls in TN.  She played ok on the first day adn really cleaned it up on the 2nd day!   But she did not medal but loved seeing all her golf buddies from all these past high school competitive tournaments!

Claire's friend Anna Claire is from Knoxville and also adopted from China!  They have a blast when they get together!
