More Halloween Fun!

Well, we couldn't pry the sucker from Claire, so this is the best picture we could get before they embarked on their trick-or-treating for the evening. Cousins Peyton, Alice, & Peyton joined them, and there was much candy to be had!

Jesse & Claire's cousins Dylan, Patrick, and Keri were in town from Jackson, MS on Friday, so the kids stopped over to see them before trick-or-treating. We enjoyed spending the weekend with them!!

Jesse with a few of his classmates at the sock hop on Halloween at his school! Jesse seems to have found a perfect home at his new school. We are so happy!

End of October Fun!!!

Well, Friday, Jesse got to dress up like his favorite literary character, so he imrovised and this costume is Andrew Dubble, from his favorite series Andrew Lost. He had a blast telling all his friend who he was!

I've had the time in the last few weeks during Claire's naps to do some fall clothes for Claire!

This one is for the Halloween Season with little pumpkins and ghosts on it!
I can put a turtleneck under the sleeveless ones and in the spring, I'tt take out the hem and turn it into a sundress...hopefully!

Gymnastics Friends Halloween Party!!!

Well, Lily Grace's Mom was nice enough to throw a party for the kids in Claire's gymnastcis class. There were tons of crafts, food, and toys for all. The kids had a blast and were extremely well behaved. They all enjoyed dressing up in their costumes and just playing together!

Halloween Carnival!

Well, the Halloween festivities began yesterday with a fantastic carnival at our church! The kids had a blast and both sets of grandparents were there also!! Jesse is Anakin Skywalker the Podracer and Claire is our little bumblebee!

This is one of of our good friends, Mary Sofia, AKA "Elvez"....Have you ever seen anything so cute! I believe she won 1st place in the costume contest! Good job Carrie on the costume!! Can't wait to see all the creative costumes in the years to come!!!

Day at the Orchard

Well, we decided on Jesse's last day of Fall Break to try out the local orchard for a morning of picking apples with our great friends Lily Grace, and her mom Barb. The kids had a blast and soon became pros at pulling those apples off the tree. Claire even decided to bite into one and devoured it! Enjoy the pictures. Couldn't think of a better way to spend a great fall morning!

Day at the Zoo with Daddy

Well, he did it....Lance actually went to the zoo with us. Poor Lance, he's never been the zoo type. So when the kids and I were loading up the van this morning, what a surprise to see that Lance was coming too!!! We had a great time and perfect weather. The kids were both on their best behavior (sigh...) We had a picnic lunch, which we all enjoyed thoroughly!! Thanks Daddy for coming!!!

Happy Fall Yall!!

Well, October is here along with the wonderful season of Fall! I've included some recent photos of Claire, but promise to attach some soon of Jesse. It seems as if he's always in school when I'm taking these pics..... More of him to come soon!! Claire and Jesse are doing great, and as the weather has cooled down, lots of outdoor pics to come!! Here is Claire with her "Baby Brooke", whom she feeds and rocks all day!

Of course, now that it is officially October, bring on the seasonal clothes!!! I am proud to say this outfit is size 24 months and shoes size 5!!

We had to go to the zoo today since the weather was absolutely perfect!!! Here is Claire keeping her eye on a chicken too close for her comfort, all the while petting a baby lamb. She thoroughly enjoyed our visit today!!! Promise to post very soon!!

Another Wonderful Week!!

Well, Claire and I thoroughly enjoyed the zoo on a mild day last week. The butterflies were drawn to Claire, and of course, she was not afraid of them at all!
She wanted to take them home. I convinced her that they belonged with their family, so she was OK with that!

This is Claire with one of her looks while praying. She refuses to completley close her eyes, and has to peek at us while we are saying the blessing....

Back into a routine.......

Well, all is well here at The Hollingsworth Household! This past weekend was Tiger Fan Fest and Jesse had to have his annual picture with Pouncer taken. He's getting taller!!! I remember when Pouncer would have to crouch down on his knees with Jesse. Can't believe my 2nd grader is grwoing up....
Well, of course Lance couldn't resist when he saw a pink laptop in the toy isle this week. For some reason, we found Claire before bedtime playing it in my bathroom! Whatever works for Claire......
Jesse finished his 1st school project by himself. If is a collage of "What Makes Me Special" that covers his profile in cardoard. His did the entire process ( I helped with a bit of gluing) in his own and was very proud. Way to go Jesse.
Claire, also had to have her picture taken, because she helped "watch" Jesse with his project. Well, I promise to post again very soon!

End of the 1st Day of School

Well, it was chaos picking up Jesse today with hundreds of parents doing the same, but I eventually found him and he was happy as a lark. He loved his 1st day & immediately met a new friend who sits next to him in class and they sat next to each other in lunch. He said he was funny and nice. He had lots to talk about and was as happy as I've seen him in a long time!

After school, we all went to get ice cream to celebrate the beginning of another great school year. Nana was able to come along, and Wednesday, Grandma will bring Jesse a special Beginning of the Year treat!
