Professional Hurricane Tour Win Pics

So a photographer from Missouri traveled to the West Memphis Tourney with the family from Missouri that was also playing in it.  He was kind enough to snap pics all day of Claire and her group...much better than enything I could take...enjoy!!

Love how he caught the ball in motion!

Claire with that flag...

She was getting hot and tired at this point!!

Sinking a huge putt for birdie....look at that face....

A Hurricane Champion!

She did it again...just after one day of "rest" from the last Tourney, Claire played solid golf in the competitive Hurricane 2 Day Tour at Meadowbrook in Arkansas.  She is really making some progress and we are so proud!

Claire and the runner ups....

She battled high temps and humidity both days, but I think, sadly, that she's used to it these days....

This will definitely help with her rankings....go Claire go!!!

Claire wins the Overton Park Junior Classic!

After a several year hiatus, Memphis brought back the Overton Park Junior Classic this week now that the OVerton Park 9 is open and redone. This tournament is one of the oldest junior touneys in the US and so Claire decided to play in it for these past 4 days. She had an absolute blast and really enjoyed match play. She hasn't had many tournaments with match play, so that was a blast for her. She won today with her friend and teammate Tanier in the runner up position! They enjoyed the Nike swag, the MemPops, food trucks, McAllisters, and all the different press every day. Way to go Memphis for putting on such a great tourney for 200 kids! Loren Roberts presented the medals and Joe Birch announced the winners....they made it so wonderful for the kids! Claire will definitely be back next year!!!

What a week! Claire gets invited to The Bubba!!

Well, mighty Claire made it to The Bubba again!  One of the most elite tournaments in the country is held here at Miramichi Course !  We are so proud of her 79-83-83.  Not only was it 112 each day, the moved the tees WAY back for the girls.  Claire couldn't hit a green in regulation to save her life, but she battled and putted so well! She met amazing golfers who will one day be LPGA stars...she loved every second of it!  Go Claire GO.  She even had a coach follow her for a few holes!

My dad and I on July 4th

Jesse came to visit for July 4th!

Claire makes it to the TN Girls' Championships

As soon as she got back from camp we were packing up again...this time to Chapel Hill, TN.  Claire played in a 54 hole at Henry Horton Golf Trail and it kicked her butt the 1st day...but took 10 strokes off her score the 2nd day and one more on the final day.  These long distances are a strugggle for her, but her short game is stronger because of it!  Keep it up Claire!  Claire loves all the girls she plays with and they just have a ball playing, sweating, and walking those hills together!!!

We were home 30 minutes, cleaned up, and head to Jesus Christ Superstar at the oprheum.  We are season ticketholders, and it comes with the membership...not our favorite, but we still had a blast!!!

Our Future Designer Has Returned

Well, I picked Claire up yesterday after a week at the Architecture/Interior Design Program at MSU to see if she is indeed interested in this field as she has been telling us.  MSU is close so we decided to let her attend the camp and just have fun.  And fun she had.  She learned to render and a bunch more and got to use "really good supplies" according to Claire....She met lots of new friends, and turns out she seems to have a knack for this...we shall see!

She got to present to different groups of parents, starting with me, so that ws fun!  She actually talked and seemed outgoing!

Check in on Monday am....

lighting scavenger hunt on campus

Learning to render by hand...

Proud of Claire for leaving her comfort zone to this camp and realizing she had a blast !!!

Claire goes off to camp!

Well, we left our youngest for the week in Starkville yesterday morning at MSU!  She was accepted earlier in the year in their reknown Interior Design Camp and we just pray she talks to others!  She has a roomate, schedule, open studio time, and much more.  She was over the moon excited, and ready for a small break from golf as well! Hopefully more picutres are on the way soon!!!

Claire gets after it...and shoots a personal record!

Well, the reason we did not go on vacation to Navarre with my family was because Claire wanted to play in the 2 Day Sneds Open Series at Quail Ridge, our home course...Doing well in this tourney would really help her rankings, and by golly she did it!  She placed 1st overall in 100 heat both days with an 81/75!  She had a rough back 9 on day 1, but cleaned it up today!  It was a hot one and she did not let that bother her! Go Claire go!

Claire's playing partner today from Nesbit, MS.  They had a blast playing together!

Go Claire go!

More Golf and a Birthday!

Look at the focus....she had golf before and after my Birthday, but we had a golf free day yesterday on my actual Bday..and it was lovely!  We had lunch, cake, and swimming at The Cardosi Home and had a blast!  A very much needed relaxing day!  Thank you Cardosis!

Leave it up to Jesse to take this shot!
