Well, yesterday was a small end of the year SBA Golf Banquet for the Girls' Golf Team, and Claire received the MVP Trophy....(that encompasses rookie of the year and  lowest score ...according to Lance) and we are most proud of her and her work ethic!

Claire Shines.....

This week has been nuts for Claire.  Her LPGA Commercial was released, and we literally thought that was it because it's only going to be on The Golf Channel. this weekend for the Drive On tournament. Well, I guess the internet is a thing and everyone is reaching out to talk to Claire.  Tuesday she had a zoom call press conference with Lydia Ko and had to ask her questions, which Claire did (even thought she was white as a ghost and I thought she was joing to throw up!) and her commercial was released during that press conference.  Well, the reporters at the conference started asking Claire questions!  It was surreal and I was so proud of how Claire handled it all.   Lydia and CLaire got to chat backa and forth, and that was amazing for Claire! By that evening, there were 2 articles (Golfweek and lpga.com) on Claire's golf and life story.  So very touching.  Yesterday Action News 5 asked if they could share Claire's story on a special piece Sunday night on the news after the NFL Game!  So they came to Quail Ridge yesterday and interviewd Claire and took some footage of her playing a hole of golf.  I think I was more nervous that Claire!  She seems to be taking this like a pro.....Monday, The Daily Memphian is sending a prep reporter to SBA at 3 to do a feature article on Claire that will be out sometime next week.  I'm proud of Claire and hope that she enjoys every second of this crazy ride......

I'll post more as it becomes available!

Claire's Commercial!

https://www.lpga.com/

Lance, Jesse, and I are so proud of Claire. The LPGA approached Claire in the late summer about filming a #DriveOn commercial about her story. The crew came in September and filmed Claire, and wonderful memories were made. We are blessed and thrilled to be able to share it today. It will air on the Golf Channel this weekend in conjunction with the LPGA Drive On Championship in Georgia, and is live on all social media formats starting today.

Enjoy!!!!

Busy Busy Weekend!

I apologize in advance for my horrible pictures this weekend!  First of all, Jesse finally came home!!! Just a quick weekend trip, but we were SOOOOO glad to finally see and hug him.  He has beem sorely missed around here.  He came to watch the Tigers plac a big rival in UCF, and we won!  So that was amazing....and he also came to watch Claire play in her last golf match of the year.....She came in 2nd today and 2nd overall for the season!  She had a rough day and has some swing issues to work out in the off season, but she will do just that!!

We were close yesterday!  But that game about gave us a stroke.....but the Tigers pulled out the win!  Great weekend!!! Claire's commercial airs on the golf channel next weekend.....can't wait to share it!!!

Claire goes to State!!!!!

A big thank you to all our family and friends for all the calls, texts, balloons, and flowers (Thank You SBA!!) as Claire represented SBA Monday and Tuesday at The Division 2 AA State Golf Tournament in Manchester, TN. Claire's goal this year in golf was to make it as a freshman to the State Tourney, and she did that. She struggled with the long, wet course, and learned so very much against the most amazing golfers in Tennessee! I have no doubt that our little one will be even more ready for State her Sophomore Year! She met some amazing golfers, and got to play with some of her St. Agnes and Hutchison fellow golfers, so that helped greatly! We are so excited she had this opportunity! She fininshed 18th overall in the State in our division and has some lofty goals for next year.....Go Claire Go!......and even more importantly, when Claire got in the car of the State Tournament and checked her school email, her 1st High School report card had arrived.....Straight A's in all her classes including all her honors courses......proud of this work ethic! Love you Claire!

Fall Break...Kind Of???

Well, technically it's a 3 day fall break for Claire, but we leave for the State Golf Championship Saturday so her coach has her in a "bubble" until the tourney is done.  So, after golf practice, we headed to Harbor Town to socially distanced lunch with the cousins and to check on Annabelle!  Annabelle is recovering and it was so great to see her with energy and smiles!  Hard not to hug them all!!

Claire loves to paint, so she made this sunset painting in about 30 minutes to give to Annabelle....wish I had that in me!!

She Does it again.....

On this cold and windy day, Claire finished 18 in the dark at Timber Truss in the Fall US Kids Tour Tournament with the win!  She shot an 82 and was hoping for a lower score, but not today.  Was still enough to pull out the win though! Go Claire Go!!!
