Well, Claire is finishing up her 4th Grade Year with the big State project that each child does. Claire was assigned Nebraska and boy did she learn about Nebraska....that girl needs to be on Jeopardy.....Anyway, she mad a 105 and did great...so proud of her efforts!
As room mom, I gathered cold hard cash this year for the end of the year teacher bouquet....I collected $472 total...I think that will put a smile on her face!!!
Last week of school...Jesse is in the thick of his first real final exams.......prayers for him please!!! Lots coming up, so I promise to post again soon!
Well, Claire is presently obsessed with all things Luau so yes, we went overboard with the theme...but Claire loved every minute of it!
She does look like a little Hawaiaan girl to me!
Dinner on the deck complete with fishing net, leis, and fancy glasses with a tropical punch mix.
Of course they played games til the sun went down and the mosquitoes came out!!
Claire wanted to do a beach artwork, so we did a little paint party and did an ocean scene with footprints....I think the girls really enjoyed this craft!
Waiting for the canvases to dry before doing their footprints, they had a little down tome for smiles and cupcakes!
My flat footed daughter.....More to come soon on the rest of the party. The girls settled down and after getting all snuggled in sleeping bags, watched one of my favorites..."13 Going on 30" . I heard giggling all hours of the night.....So blessed to be able to do these things for Claire! Happy 10th Birthday Sweet Girl!
Well, I must have been out of my mind when I offered to chair the Annual SFA Father Daughter Dance this year.....I am a tired lady today, but the smiles from all the girls and dads last night was totally worth it!! I couldn't have done it without Jesse and my crew of mom helpers, who I love dearly!
Part of my crew!
Part of the desert/drink station
Boy did those dads get down.....and I promise no alcohol was served!!
Yes, Lance actually danced!
I was worried some dads were going to slip a disc getting down too low!
Jesse hates me today for making him wear the beret....
Love a good photo bomb by Amy!
The girls getting their Thriller on!
We had chocolate roses for the girls at the door with a tulle ribbon and a little card that said Je Taime...
I hoped the dads and daughters had a great time!!!
Well, Claire's Birthday is tomorrow, but with it being a Sunday, and tomorrow being a very full school day, we decided to celebrate today with family! Claire wanted a Luau theme, so that was easy and fun to do.....thanks you God for the beautiful day!!
Our skinks were enjoying the warm temps today!
The Birthday Girl!
Yes, she loves to hula hoop !
Will post more when she has her slumber party next week, but how blessed we are to have Claire in our lives! Not a day doesn't go by that I don't think about how lucky I am....we were surrounded by family today and had a wonderful day celebrating Claire.....Happy 10th Sweet Claire!
