She Did It Again!

Well, Claire is on a streak!  She won first place for the 3rd week in a row!  This week was a 2 day USJGT event at Quail Ridge from 5900 yards.  She had a few issues, but took care of business in the end and pulled out the win.  We are so proud of her resolve and amazing effort in the off season that is really starting to show, now that the competitive golf season is upon us....Go Claire Go!!!!!

Claire getting her hardware from Coach Cliff.  He's a legend in the Junior Golf Community here in Memphis and also a Coach of the amazing MUS boys' golf team.

She Does It Again!! This time in Maumelle, Ark.

Well, since it was Claire's Spring Break, we traveled Friday to Maumelle, Ark for the SSJC Spring Fever Tourney.  She had a brutal wet, cold, and windy practice round.  But that was followed with 2 days of sunshine and perfect weather...something we have not had down here for months and months.  She played solid golf and came out ahead by quite a few strokes.  So proud of Claire turning a corner this season!

Also, her win in this event qualified her for the Callaway World Championships in Sand Diego in July!  Go little bit go!

Champion!

Yes, Memphis did get 5 inches of snow Friday night and yes, they still had the Hurricane Tournament.....today were the most brutal course conditions I think Claire has played thus far.  Her ball got absolutely zero roll ...but she played solid golf and won the hardware today.  She has turned a corner!! What a great (and wet, and cold, and windy) way to start Spring Break!!!

Happy Adoption Day !!! and.....Spring 2022 Competitive Golf has Begun...and what a way to start!!!!!!

Well, this little one has worked her tail off the entire off season and I mean in golf and with her trainer.  She got her first set of real ladies clubs 5 days ago, and a new putter 4 days ago.  Needless to say, we were a nervous wreck watching Claire with her new gear that she wasn't used to quite yet. She proved us wrong....  We traveled to Franklin for a 2 day tourney at Franklin Bridge. Well, she had a fantastic day 1 and a rougher day 2, but she pulled out a 2nd place finish among the best golfers around!  Her finish also qualified her for a spot in the Notah Begay Qualifier in September.  Go Claire go!

The first day of the tournament was also Claire's 15th Adoption Day!  Every year for adoption day Claire gets to choose where we eat.  So being out of town, she chose a little hole in the wall that serves bento boxes, poke bowl, and bubble tea.  It was fantastic! Way to read those Google reviews Claire!
