We have a 17 year old!

Well, this boy turned 17 yesterday, much to the amazement of Lance and I.  He had a big week....ACT, Junior Retreat, and Birthday...all within 4 days of each other!

His sweet girlfriend Emily made him an adorable golf frame, along with other sweet gifts....

Jesse had a few friends and his grandparents all over for lunch and cake...and of course..Golf Trivia!

Yes I am getting old.....

 Jesse woke up to crepes with warm cherry compote and lots of goodies.....

 Claire and I found a 17 blinged out candle holder.....

And Claire decorated the cupcakes all by herself...that girl loves her some You Tube Cupcake Videos!

Easter 2018...He has risen!

 Yet another Easter In Jackson, MS with Lances entire family over the course of a long weekend.   The weather was lovely, and everyone loved seeing how big Jesse and Claire have gotten!  The golf tournament was great and their team took 2nd!  A blast was had by all!

This year, Lance's mammaw was ill, and we stayed in a hotel for her to recover at home...so the kids got to open their baskets in a different way this year....bed!!  But they loved every minute of it!!!

 The Easter Bunny brought Jesse wome much needed cash for the Prom.....which is just weeks away!

Claire Goes To Cotillion.....

 Well, we enrolled Claire in this year's Cotillion for 6th graders, and though she was super apprehensive at first, has come out all smiles!  It's 5 weeks and on the final week Lance and I get to attend the dance and dinner with her and all the other students...Should be a blast! We hope this helps her come out of her little shell a bit!!

Discovering Discovery Park of America!

 Well, I drove Claire and her friend Aniston to Union City Wednesday for a day trip to Union City and the girls had a blast! It was a chilly sunny day, and they just went and went through that museum!  They just soaked it all up! Loved spending the day with these 2 sweet girls!!

Jesse gets a prom date......

Well, Jesse asked his new girlfriend Emily to the prom yesterday,and she of course said yes.  But his creativity cracks me up.  So after her tennis practice at SBA Monday, he walks up to the court with this shirt and sign and asked.  I thought the entire tennis theme was a hoot.  Apparently Lance didn't find it nearly as amusing as Jesse and I did!

Happy 11th Adoption Day Claire!!

Well, Monday we celebrated Claire's 11th Adoption Day!  We thank God every day for bringing this amazing blessing into our lives.  Who knew we'd have a little introverted, cheerleading, golf playing, craft loving, fashionista!!!! But boy we are glad we do!  Because the day fell on a Monday, which happen to be stuffed with homework and studying, we celebrated a little over the weekend, and with her favorite meals on Monday and she brought in warm Krispy Creme to her Religion Class.  Hard to believe it's been 11 years. We love you so much Claire Song!!!!
