A busy weekend indeed!!

 Well, The Hollingsworth Family divided and conquered this weekend! Lance and I took Claire and her golf friend Grace to the first Memphis Football game of the year and a blast was had by all!  And the Tigers won 66-14!  It was a great evening!

 My dear dear friend Laura had twin girls, Nola and Madyn,  on Sunday and I had the pleasure of visiting them several times in the NICU!  Laura is doing much better and Nola is already home....nothing like newborn baby love!  Can't wait to rock these sweet ones soon!!

 Jesse was invited to Knoxville and Gatlinburg with Emily and her family over this long weekend....he had a blast and just loved seeing the Great Smoky Mountains! Thank you Cardosi Family for your amazing hospitality!

St. Francis vs Holy Rosary

Claire played my alma mater Holy Rosary this week in golf and got to see her friend Grace play for Holy Rosary!  SFA won and Claire tied for 3rd overall!  We are so proud of Claire.....she shot a 37 on a par 3 at Windyke.....and she played against boys as well!!! Go Claire Go!  Lots to come soon!!!

What a week!

Claire had her 1st 7th/8th Grade Dance last night at SBA.....I want my little China Doll back!!!

Claire had her first SFA golf match this week and they won!  She struggled at first with the course and her swing, but got it together and helped pull off a win! Way to go Timberwolves! Lots's more golf to come!

Jesse is a senior!!!!!!!!

So this happened today.....My firstborn is a senior.  God help me keep it together this year is all I have to say!

And little Ms Claire is a 7th grader!  How did this happen???  It's going to be a great year!

College tours continue......

Well, we knocked out 2 college tours in 2 days and had a blast.  Jesse visited Alabama at Huntsville and their engineering departments.  He had a great tour, but felt the school just was not for him....glad we visited!

We visited Mississippi State University for the 2nd time.....this time for a specific tour of the EE and Computer Engineering Labs and the CAVS Facility.  He was blown away and loved every second of it....we shall see what the future holds for Jesse and MSU.  Lance had a mild panic attack in the bookstore knowing it's a possibility that Jesse might attend an SEC school!  God will lead Jesse in the right direction!

Jesse goes to camp!

Well, now Jesse is at camp!  Lance dropped him off at Missouri S&T  for a week of engineering camp.  He entered nerd heaven and will have projects every day!  I don't think this video will work, but on day 1 Jesse made a hoverboard out of a leafblower motor......he will never want to come home now......

Typical Summer Week!

 Well, Jesse is on a roll.  So proud of him today!!! Medals aplenty this summer so far!

Claire has been thrown to the wolves in the Sneds Tour but is learning so much and giving it her all...we are so proud of her efforts every tourney and her desire to do better every time..... Jesse leaves us this weekend for engineering camp at Missouri S&T!  Can't wait to see pics of this....more posts coming soon!

Claire goes to Camp.....

 Welll, for the first time ever, Claire left us for 5 days and went to Franklin, TN  for Golf House Tennessee Golf Camp with her friend Tanier!  She did so well and I don't think she even missed us for a second!  She said they kept them so busy she didn't have time to miss us!  She learned a lot and played a lot of golf with some new friends!  Glad to have our sweet Claire back home!!!

A busy darned week!!!!

 Well I am exhausted keeping up with this family this week!  But what a great week it has been.  Lance and Jesse played in Marcus & D'Angelo's tourney today and got heckled (as he does every year) on hole 8.  It's the highlight of Jesse's summer for some reason.....

Claire had 2 golf tournaments this week and is pictured here with her group.  She learns so much every time she plays!!

 Jesse played Tuesday in the same tourney as Claire, but with the big boys....he's all smiles because he brought home second!

Happy Father's Day!

 We had both of our parents over today for dinner and dessert, and we are so grateful to have these men in our lives! Happy Father's Day!!!

Hollingsworth 2018 Vacay!

Well, it was back to Navarre Beach, Florida this year and we went back to our routine of visiting our dear friends the Hixon in Montgomery on the way! Claire and MG were adopted together and are from the same orphanage!  I am so glad we have all kept our friendship going these 11 years! the girls are both going into 7th grade and had a blast reuniting.....we are always so grateful for the Hixon's hospitality!  Next year we anticipate taking a trip to China with them in June in leu of our beach trip...the time has come to show them (and Jesse!) China again!

I celebrated #45 on the beach this year and Lance through a little surprise for me one evening with cake for all!  I was overwhelmed with hugs and love! Thank you Lance!

Jesse's girlfriend Emily joined us for 5 days of our vacation and had a blast as well.  She was a good sport with the cousins and did anything they wanted.  Loved having her along!

Claire's first Drive, Chip, and Putt!!!

Well, Claire attended her first ever Drive, Chip, and Putt, and this year it was held at TPC Southwind! Since Claire is so new to all of this, we had very little expectations.  Well, we were surprised when she just had some amazing drives and hit the pin on 2 of her 3 chips!  She won first place in her chipping division, and 4th overall.  Sadly, the top 3 advance to regionals in College Park, TN, but now Claire has something to look forward to next year!  We are so proud of all her hard work this past year with her coach.  She's having a blast in the process! Go Claire go!
