Big News for Claire...and I'm ready for Spring!

Well, the LPGA called me last week and asked me if Claire would mind being on the new LPGA site that they are working on.....they are focusing on diversity in women's golf, and also want to include a few ameteurs alongside the pros...so they chose Claire as one and she is tickled!  Should be a few weeks before it goes live, but should be fun.  There will be a head shot, a golf shot, and a little bio page.....proud of Claire!!

I have started back sewing for me and I decided to tackle this spring dress...lots of little flaws but it's wearable and I learned so much!  I forgot how much I loved to sew....since there has been zero golf, but has my time freed up!!

January Goings-On

Well, last week would have been the big SBA trip to the Pro Life March in DC....of course that's not happening this year, so Claire and friends in the Pro-Life club enjoyed a mass by Bishop Talley.  Not the same, but that will make next year's trip all the sweeter!!

Because it's been cold and not as much happening with golf lately, I decided to sew a bit...it's been ages since I've sewn for me.  So I'm just refreshing my skills and having fun....Going to try a bell sleeved shift next....

Well, after over 6 weeks at home, Jesse headed back to MSU today to finish his sophomore year today!  In the 6 weeks here he worked part time at the same engineering firm where he work this past summer, AND he took Calculus 3 in the Wintermester and pull a high B.  It was a lot of work in 6 weeks, but glad he did it! We will miss you Jesse and will come see you soon !!!!

Merry Christmas! Celebrating the birth of our Lord the best we can under the cirumstances!

This is what Christmas Eve looked last last night at my parents house....freezing but fun!

Very Very happy about her new competition golf shoes!  He big Christmas gift is still missing in the mail.....there's a custom 7 and 9 iron out there somewhere made for Claire.....

Going old school with Tretorns!
Jesse is still not too old for a stocking apparently!

Presents and firepit at my parents last night!

This is what Christmas Day looked like with Lance's parents!  So glad we were able to celebrate!  This is the closeset we were all day for the picture!

Emily gave Claire a bear as big as she!

Jesse racked up with a new suit for job interviews, a new Thomas Edison book, clothes, and lots of GC from places around Starkville, MS....Lance got tons of Tesla Swag!  God is good...but we are SOOOO ready for 2021!  Merry Christmas!

Lance's Chrsitmas Present/Mid-Life Crisis Car

Lance and Jesse made it home safely from Nashvilee (I believe the car drove most of the way without Lance doing any work!) with this electric car. Yes...my Republican, Trump hating, environment loving husband has bought a Tesla....now only to figure it out!!!

Busy weekend!

Well, after 19 years, I finally got some new furniture in the Hearth Room and just freshened it up a bit...It's a small room off the kitchen, but Claire and I spend tons of time in this room..It's where we do our workouts, watch TV sometimes, and where I sew and craft!  It took forever to get the furniture in due to Covid, but glad it came in nonetheless!!

Yesterday, Claire and I spent the entire day making our annual cutout sugar cookies that Lance passes out to all the Summit employees for Christmas.  This year we added ugly Christmas sweaters to the lineup and Claire piped each child's inital on them....the messy ones were totally done by me.....

And this is Lance's Christmas Present/Mid Life Crisis Car.....will be arriving later today in Memphis.  Lance and Jesse sprinted to Nashville last night as soon as the had word that it had arrived at the dealership!

Thanksgiving.....

Boy did Thanksgiving look different this year.  Claire and I worked our tails off to prepare our regular Thanksgiving feast....but this time no one brought any of the food!  It was a bittersweet day.  We did have our parents and my brother over in the evening for desserts and hot cider outside.  It was so different, but it was a lovely night and we all still got to be together!

Some family friends of ours who now live in Floriday loved Claire's little commercial so much they had this adorable wooden sign made for her to hang in her room....Thank you Rule Family!  You rock!!!

November Happenings....

Jesse has 2 more Final Exams with and he's home until January 6th!  We are so ready to spend time with sweet Jesse.  This is a selfie Jesse sent us before giving a tour of MSU as a Roadrunner.  That's about his only "social" activity these days due to Covid....ready to see our Jesse!

Well, Claire has some work to do over the off season, and immediately started seeing a strength trainer.  She sees him and then works on things throughout the week at home....proud of her work ethic that's for sure!  Go Claire Go!

Election Day Happenings!

Our Jesse voted for the 1st time ever!!!  He got there an hour before the polls opened to ensure that he was back in time for his 8am class!

Claire received her 1st fan mail ever!  St Benedict received it and it was from our former congressman Harold Ford Jr.  We had to explain to her who that was, but she was tickled!

A very different homecoming week!   Decade day meant Claire was 80's ready!

Tacky Tourist Day!
