New York New York!

Well, My brother and I took my mother to NYC for a long weekend to celebrate Tommy's Bday and the end of summer.  We had a blast and walked a ton and even found our way around!  Tommy enjoying Grand Central Station

Loving Bryant Park in 75 degrees while it was 113 back home was lovely!

We had a pastry shop near our hotel that was adorable...we found oursleves there a few times!

The highlight of our trip was MJ The Musical and yes it was worth the hype!!!

I am totally doing this next time we are in NYC......you dress up in your finest and pearls and have high tea while being drivem around NYC!

Time Square was a little too much for my mom, but we had fun nonetheless!

She's Made A Decision!!

Proud of this young lady, who has met so many obstacles in her young life, but overcome every one of them.  Claire has committed to Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI to play college golf.  Lawrence Tech/LTU is a smaller private university with a smaller private university with renown Engineering and Architecture/Design programs, and will major in Interior Design.  The offer was too good to refuse for such a great design program.  She will play fall golf in Michigan and surrounding states, and travel south to places like Hilton Head, Miami, Alabama and more for spring tournaments.  She visited schools all spring and summer, and really felt like this was the school and coach for her.  She will be near her big brother Jesse at GM, so we can fly to one place and see them both!  Excited for her new adenture!  God is good...Go Blue Devils!
 

Let Senior Golf Begin!

Claire played her first match repping SBA as a senior and shot a whopping -1 par/35 at Timber Truss today.  Low medalist out of all the teams! 

Claire has been playing golf with Claire Todd for years.  They were paired together today!

 Claire didn't have her best weekend of golf but still brought home a 1st place.....West Memphis, AR at Meadowbrook CC.

First Batch of Golf Senior Pics have arrived!!!!

 Our lifelong friend and neighbor Ryan Beatty took these of Claire last week at Mirimich before Ryan moves to UT Knoxville! So proud of his talents!

So sad that all this is flashing by but we are so very proud of Claire's work ethic on and off the course.....we are so very happy that she has found something she loves so much that she's not quite ready to give it up just yet!!!

He first day of school ever and her last first day of school ever.....

 

Senior Year is almost here! Claire gets to paint her parking spot!!!

Well, it's the week before school, and a tradition for the Seniors to paint their parking spots for the year!  Claire had to paint over the prior spot and had a blast doing it.  She wanted very little involvement from us, but she allowed Lance to tape up here and there!!  It was 100 degrees but fun!  Go Claire Go!

I wanted her to write "No Parking On The Green" but I got an eye roll.....so no go on that!

 

Summer the blur.....

This summer has been an absolute nonstop whirlwind.  Lots of good things, but never a break.  We arrived back from Michigan and Claire had a 2 day brutal 6300 yard tourney in Murfreesboro, and then senior indoor and senior outdoor pics!   But, the recruting season for Claire has come to an end and a decision will be posted soon about her college plans!!! She has committed!

Longtime friend and neighbor Ryan took her golf senior pics at Mirimichi in the evening and I can't wait to see them.  It was a blast watching him work!

Claire came in 2nd against her friend Olivia who is about to start playing at Sewanee.  OMG look at that size difference!

Michigan Trip !

Well, we took a short direct flight to Detroit and spent 4 days with Jesse to see Detroit and its suburbs!  We also took a much anticipated college Golf visit to the one school up north that Claire is considering.  Because Jesse is going to end up in the suburbs of Detroit for a little while at least, Claire wanted to see LTU.  LTU is a smaller private school that really focuses on engineering and interiors/architecture.  So Claire was interested ....as was the golf coach to get a southern golfer.  She loved the visit and the local courses.  We shall see!

My favorite part was in the amazing suburb of Birmingham, MI where they had these amazing free public gardens.  People were getting their family pics and wedding pics there, and we just loved watching it all!

A little city outside of Detroit called Frankenmuth and it was all things German.  It was lovely!

Of course being in Detroit, it was car central.  This was a normal siting every time we drove anywhere...Jesse is definitely in the right place!

Flowers in the suburbs were flawless and so much fuller and bright than here.  Maybe because it wasn't 104 degrees!
